The topic will encourage a wide range of speakers to challenge a local audience that has values rooted in tradition and a culture having difficulties accepting and adapting to today's rules. Speakers from a variety of spheres will be presenting their speeches responding to these key trends: technological advancements, environmental challenges, societal shifts, and economic transformations. We aim for TEDxNU to make the audience pause, self-reflect, and ultimately leave the event with a positive view towards change and inspiration to take action. This topic was chosen to be essential considering the rapidly evolving world that we live in. This topic considers how societal, technological, economic, and environmental shifts are redefining the norms and expectations across all aspects of life.

Azamat Salamat

Research Assistant working in Soviet archives of Kazakh literature
Azamat is a literature student at Nazarbayev University. He founded and presides over the Philosophy Club "Vox," and is an active member of the Poetry Club. As a research assistant, he explores Soviet archives of Kazakh literature, and he also teaches Russian to professors and international students. Living with type 1 diabetes, Azamat has transformed his challenge into a story of triumph. With that, he has brilliant insights regarding gaining control over his condition.

Sanira Madzhikova

IT Expert
Sanira Madzhikova is an IT expert with 7 years of experience, including 5 years in mobile app development. At 22, she founded an IT product development studio, managing and advising over 100 businesses and startups. She also established the Neobis club, which has facilitated internships and jobs for over 1000 IT specialists. Currently, she runs Palm, helping 20 programmers from Central Asia secure high-paying remote work abroad. Sanira completed the Outtalent program and received a job offer from Meta, moving to London.
